DebtToolbox provides free financial calculators at debttoolbox.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.
The short version
Our calculators run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you type — your debt balances, income, loan amounts, interest rates — are never sent to our servers. We do not have user accounts, we do not store your inputs, and we do not have a database that holds anything you typed.
What we do use, like most websites, are standard server logs and third-party services for advertising and analytics. Those are described below.
Information we don't collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers. There are no sign-up forms, no newsletters, and no account registration.
- We do not collect or store the figures you enter into any calculator. Calculations happen in your browser and disappear when you close the tab.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we do not collect it in the first place.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard server log data when you visit a page. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page you requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate traffic analysis. They are not linked to any personal identity.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. DebtToolbox itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. However, third-party services we rely on — described in the next section — may set their own cookies when you visit our pages.
You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect the functionality of our calculators, since the math runs locally in your browser regardless of cookie state.
Third-party services
Google AdSense
We display advertising provided by Google AdSense to keep this site free. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — for example, which calculators are most popular and how long people spend on a page. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes data such as IP addresses (truncated where supported). We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual users. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Hosting and content delivery
Our website is hosted on a third-party server. Our pages also load fonts, an icon library, and a charting library from public content delivery networks. These providers may receive your IP address as a normal part of serving the requested files.
Your privacy rights
California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete personal information we hold about you, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Because DebtToolbox does not collect personal information through its calculators and does not sell user data, most of these rights are satisfied by default. Requests related to advertising cookies set by Google should be directed to Google through the opt-out links above.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other regions
This site is operated for a United States audience. If you are visiting from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. Where required, advertising and analytics partners are responsible for providing their own legal bases and consent mechanisms for the data they process.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address the issue.

The calculators and articles on DebtToolbox are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions. We are not a registered investment adviser and we do not have a fiduciary relationship with our visitors.
